Prevention & Management of Incidents at Guarded Facilities

Saturday, May 16, 2026. 1-4 PM ET.

FREE!

This is a fast-paced, comprehensive and extremely graphic webinar designed specifically for Aquatic and Recreation Professionals, First Responders, Lifeguard Instructors and Supervisors, and Lifeguard Personnel.

The focus is on the prevention, recognition and management of drowning and aquatic injuries. Actual videos of drowning and aquatic
injury incidents will be shown in order to reinforce the principles presented throughout the webinar.

Lifesaving Resources advocates the need to conduct a comprehensive Threat Assessment of the aquatic venue in order to identify and mitigate hazards as well as to identify and then either safeguard or prohibit risks. Based on the Threat Assessment, the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) must determine the Level of Operational Capability required of personnel. The AHJ must then develop
Operational Protocols (i.e. SOPs/SOGs, Emergency Action and Response Plans, Surveillance Protocols, etc.). And, the AHJ must then Plan for the incident; Train for the incident; and acquire the Resources required to prevent incidents; to recognize incidents, as well as their potential; and to rapidly and effectively respond to and manage incidents, as well as their potential.

Warning: this webinar will include very graphic video and audio clips of actual drowning incidents.
