Those who successfully complete the Academy are authorized to conduct Water Rescue training, Swift Water Rescue training, Flood Rescue training, and Surf Rescue training on behalf of their agency.

Furthermore, a system of trust and verify exists to ensure the outcome of well-trained Instructors lead by highly qualified and well-trained faculty, instructors, and supervisors.
These courses meet/exceed NFPA 1670 and NFPA 1006 Standards for Technical Rescue.
Upon successful completion of the Academy, graduates are certified at the Technician level and authorized as Instructors to conduct Water Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician level courses, as well as Surf and Swiftwater Rescue Technician courses on behalf of their own Public Safety and Rescue agency for 3 years.
